The North Side - One of the three replacement stone windows on the north side of the Shell-Keep, each originally formed a brick bay projecting beyond the Shell-Keep wall. These 17th Century `Jacobean' period brick wings were demolished between 1808 and 1811 by George, 2nd Marquis Townshend, the stone bases to the brick wings now form the balconies which can still be seen outside the Castle.
